Bry-Air’s journey began in 1964 with humble origins, when Arthur G. Harms laid the foundation of the company in a small warehouse in New Jersey. The company was established in the United States as an offshoot of Bryant, a division of Carrier Corporation. In its early years, visionaries such as Paul D. Griesse and Arthur G. Harms helped shape the company’s technical direction.
Following this early phase, the business was carried forward by Arthur Harms’ daughter Jill and his son-in-law Paul D. Griesse, whose leadership later helped establish a key connection with Deepak Pahwa—marking the beginning of Bry-Air’s global journey.
Over the decades, Bry-Air expanded its capabilities through engineering innovation, global partnerships, and a strong focus on adsorption-based air treatment technologies. A significant milestone came in 2006, when Bry-Air (Asia), part of the Pahwa Group, acquired the global business interests and marketing rights of Bry-Air Inc., USA, including the Bry-Air brand and trademarks—further strengthening its global presence and technological leadership.
Today, Bry-Air stands as a global leader in dehumidification and environmental control solutions, with installations in more than 80 countries and a growing network of manufacturing facilities, research laboratories, and engineering centers worldwide. Guided by decades of innovation, material science expertise, and advanced R&D capabilities, Bry-Air continues to develop technologies that enhance industrial productivity, protect sensitive environments, and support sustainable air treatment solutions across the globe.
Bry-Air operates across more than 80 countries, supported by a strong global network of manufacturing facilities, subsidiaries, and regional offices.
We have established subsidiaries in China, Malaysia, Brazil, Nigeria, Switzerland, and the United States, enabling localized manufacturing, engineering, and customer support.

Bry-Air is the flagship company of the Pahwa Group, alongside Desiccant Rotors International (DRI), Delair, and Technical Drying Services (TDS)—organizations dedicated to advanced air treatment and drying technologies.
We operate as an engineering partner—not a commodity equipment supplier. Bry-Air collaborates with plant engineers, consultants, and facility leaders to mitigate humidity-related risk, stabilize controlled environments, and support sustainable operational performance.
With global expertise and independent U.S. manufacturing strength, Bry-Air delivers engineered environmental control systems built for precision, reliability, and long-term value.
After ten years of licensing the brand in North America, Bry-Air is proud to announce a transition to direct operations. Starting in 2025, customers will now work directly with the parent entity for all sales, support, and maintenance needs….Read More

Bry-Air fostered industry-academia collaboration through the “BALI…Bry-Air Learning Initiative.” BALI sponsored study tours for young engineers and faculty to ACREX, South Asia’s premier exhibition on Refrigeration, Cold Chain, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, and Intelligent Buildings. The initiative contributed to continuous learning and development, particularly at CPRE (Center for Professional and Research Excellence).
For the betterment of society, Bry-Air’s management, through its CSR initiatives, is committed to enhancing the lives of the underprivileged and specially-abled. Bry-Air CSR is structured around three key focus areas: Vision, Education, and Environment. These initiatives focus on education, skill development, health and hygiene. In line with its mission to improve lives, Bry-Air collaborates synergistically to provide free eye check-ups, spectacles, and cataract surgery to those in need. The legacy of Rai Bahadur Dr. Mathra Das Pahwa is honoured through educational initiatives that promote knowledge. In the realm of environmental responsibility, Bry-Air and its associate company, Desiccant Rotors International (DRI), are dedicated to creating a greener world for future generations.
